Whew.
Iconic Leadership Coaching Global Headquarters has had some big changes in the past few months.
For the past five years, my office - I mean Global Headquarters - has been in a barn.
Specifically in an old horse stable with real horse teeth chew marks. The barn is mostly weatherised, but my desk was in a large open area. While it was private, but I did tend to have people (aka my family) tramping through with bikes, dogs, friends, and repairmen.
The barn has been here probably longer than my house. One of my neighbors grew up here and she remembers taking horse riding lessons at my house. Although I suspect this property was bigger back then, and we don't have a horse today, we do have some chickens! And a giant garden.
Finally, I hired someone to come build a wall. And a door. My own door! A door that closed. A room that was only mine.
In order to prepare for construction, I had to disassemble my whole office - all the stuff that had gathered for the past 6 years. There were nostalgic things and special things, books, plants, notebooks (oh, the notebooks!) to sort, toss and organize.
Finally, the huge 1990s wooden desk (that must weigh 9,000 tons and came with the house when we bought it) was moved from the spot that it probably had been in for 40 years. It now awaits it fate outside the office. Thank you, old desk!

Once the wall was up, things looked great!
Buuuut, everything was covered in drywall dust. So we cleaned. And swept and mopped. And wiped windows. And cleared cobwebs. We decided to paint and add some new elements to the space. Barn vibes, be gone!
The new space is excellent. It feels like my work is encapsulated and held in its own place. It’s a great refresh and has given me new perspectives.

Simultaneously, I’ve been making some major business updates.
After years of coaching, I’ve seen what is most impactful for my clients and where change actually sticks. I’ve been able to better understand the work I want to bring to the world. I’ve continued to learn and develop more tools and practices. And I could see it was time to refresh how I talk about my work.
Leadership Coaching has been (and continues) to be the core of my work. I know what’s required for people to grow in ways that are both satisfying and sustaining.
But moving forward, I'm integrating new focus by helping clients:
• to connect to a deeper level of their own wisdom
• to stay connected to that part of themselves.
• to develop an empowering understanding of themselves and their relationships to the world around them.
• to grow faster and take on changes with more confidence and ease.
This is a big deal because they are able to sort through their own stuff — the beliefs they want to toss or archive and the new ideas they want to update and revise for their best possible outcomes.
To that end, I’m folding in more of THAT work into my coaching.
It’s different than how others approach traditional leadership coaching. I offer new practices that connect my clients to their own power and choices. This reconnection allows them to manage the complex or unknown with grace and clarity.
I’ll have more to share about this work soon but it has been an exciting refresh which has been met with enthusiasm from clients as I roll it out.
So many folks are experiencing a really tough time and I want to do what I can to help people have less stress, more ease and a better understanding of what’s most important.
